February 06... (yea, it's been a while) we started our tour supporting the Living Things for a couple of dates on the East Coast and Canada, came back to NYC for a few days and then headed off to the UK.

Our UK tour supporting Stellastarr was absolutely amazing. I think we did about 10 dates, the first few with another great band called Morning After Girls. While in the UK we played a couple of songs at Red Tape Studio which was recorded by their students and later broadcast by Jane Kitson on BBC Radio Sheffield. Sorry for the band fight in the studio guys but it was pretty rock and roll, right? We also played a few acoustic songs for BBC Radio Whales.

Thank you Stellastarr for having us tour with you, and for sharing a bus with us. And Andy (our tour manager) AKA Superman, you are the fucking best out there. I've never seen anyone work harder and play harder. Lots of love from us. Sadly we had to leave the comfort of our tour bus to fly back to NYC, unpack and pack overnight and haul ass to North Carolina to pick up the Living Things tour we had left. Back in the van. Never a dull moment with the Twenty Twos, or at least not for long.

The Georgia Incident goes something like this. We're having a wholesome night out with some of the boys from the Vacation (another band on tour with us) and the Heartattacks (friends from another band) when Jonny.... um, well, could've happened to any one of us. He hits another car. Dressed in his finest red velour blazer and "homies" tshirt he is quickly whisked away by the fine ladies of the Atlanta Police Department, and not for a wild threesome as he had hoped. Instead he spends the night in jail for, well, we're still trying to figure that out. Nothing to do but bail him out and high tail it out of Georgia.

With our van fixed we were back on the road headed for Austin's SXSW.
Looking back that week was a blur of BBQs, free booze, and friends from all corners of the world... I think we only managed to see one or two bands. We played two shows at the festival, the first during the day at the NME bbq. By Saturday, the day of our second show, the streets were filled way beyond capacity with bands, fans, and drunks. Our Buffalo Billiards show that night takes the cake for worst load in ever. A half hour before show time we were still three blocks away from the club. Nothing left to do but leg it.
You try carrying an entire backline through the mucky alleyways of Austin. It's hard work! Ah, but the show was worth it.

After the festival was over we took two much needed days off and hit the road again to continue the Living Things tour which took us to New Orleans. Driving into the town and seeing the devestation first hand was mind blowing. Piles and piles of trash, downed power lines, refridgerators, wood planks that were once the walls of someone's house, abandoned cars lining the roads... it was too much to take in. It really got to us. We managed to keep our heads on straight, and finished the tour in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. A month and a half since we had left, we saw that NYC skyline off in the distance... it felt good to be home.

Thank you Living Things for having us out with you guys. In case you couldn't tell, we had a blast.
And Jeff (our sound guy/drinking buddy) I hope we have the opportunity to work with you again. Thanks for taking us out on the nights we really needed to let loose. Thanks to everyone that came out to the shows, and special thanks to those that bought merch. You help us stay out on the road, which is right where we
want to be.

Notes to self from the road: No more Stella for, uh, someone. When the bus is rocking don't come knocking. But for God sakes, close your bunk curtain! Don't stage dive when there's no crowd. It fucking hurts to hit the ground.

And then there were three...
Soon after we got back home we parted ways with Terrah, the keyboard player, due to irrconcilable differences. Standard reason we know, but it's the truth. We wish her the best of luck in whatever the future holds.

Where does this leave us?
Since being back we've been writing like crazy, and recording some too. We went into the studio with our good friend Mark Grant (engineer at Big Fat Suite) and put down three new songs that we're really excited about. We got Irina, former guitar player of the Soft Explosion, to play ripping guitar, keys, and thermin on the new recordings. I've got to say she really brought the songs to life, and she's just so cute!
But seriously, she's just one of those good musicians.

And now we're looking for a new band member, trying out some people, and writing our second record... or is it still our first?

We'd like to update you guys - it's been a while... First of all we have a NYC show this Friday at Aces of Clubs on Great Jones at Lafayette. We're on at 10pm supporting The Giraffes for their CD release party!! We love these guys - they are on right after us at 11. Fresh Kills is opening at 9.

We got back from the Vans Warped tour... In one piece, sort of. What an adventure! It was amazing in so many ways but also hard. We started the tour in a van with a trailer full of our gear and merch, and it was going great! ... We had our daily routine down and enjoyed playing every day and hanging out in our merch booth with all our new friends we met on the road. Until Dallas on our day off.

That is when the van and trailer got jacked right out of the Days Inn parking lot in the bright sunlight, without a trace. Everything we owned GONE. Including vintage gear, new flight cases, merch tent and t-shirts and CDs. The cops were not too helpful and not too positive. So after lots of freaking out and mourning it was a no brainer to continue the tour. We HAD to. We borrowed equipment from generous bands like The Matches and Riverboat Gamblers. THANK YOU guys! We also had a lot of fun getting to know

Everyone running the tour and the guys at Volcom and all the bands we played with were supportive and really cool. We jumped on The Matches tourbus for the rest of our dates until we spent a week in California, crashing with friends and playing some shows there.

Thanks to all the new friends and fans - you guys are so great. We can't wait to tour again and see all of you!

The immediate future for us will be spent in New York, finishing the artwork and picking the songs for our upcoming L.P. Which will be coming out early next year. We're not doing many gigs at the moment, but we're practicing, working out a new batch of songs, and slowly collecting new gear. Hopefully we will be back on the road before too long! Keep checking the websites for dates and our live video and some new pictures. Our site and message board are brand new so please post your rants and raves and anything else - if you don't see the board pop up, it's just hidden underneath the "talk to us" page. Thanks!

We’d like to thank everyone who came out on Saturday for the show at Mercury and hope you enjoyed the line-up as much as we did. A special thanks goes out to Dennis from Saints & Lovers for being one of the most genuine guys in rock – if you missed their show, you have GOT to get to the next one. We’ll be taking a holiday break and be back in the new year with even more new songs. Happy Holidays!

10/21/04
We’d like to thank all the people who have given us so much positive feedback from the Supergrass Philly and Webster Hall shows – you make us smile. Wow, we gotta say it was SO MUCH FUN playing those shows – it feels great playing on a big stage –more room to jump around, and actually hear yourself sing! A big thanks to Supergrass for having us – they were nothing less than amazing as always.

10/20/04
We’re in this month’s current issue of Nylon magazine (the one with the Donna’s on the cover) – go to our Press section if you want to read it.

Hey all! We had such a fun show at Don Hill’s Saturday – thanks for coming out! We were shooting a video all day for our song, “She Does” and also shot the show – so some of you may end up in the video (especially those of you who were dancing, moshing – Susan – such great sports, that or you were REALLY drunk!) A big thanks to Luke (he was that crazy guy running all around the stage with a video camera who apparently fell off the stage at one point, and was pretty much fearless at being the “band cheerleader” and getting people riled up.) AND to our #1 fan and friend, Walter, for doing lights and pretty much keeping the spirits up all day – nevermind driving a few of our drunk asses home! Also a big thanks to Peter for doing sound, and Mark for setting us up during the day w/sound & lights, as well as Mr. Nick Marc and Don Hill for letting us use the club for the entire day.

So we’re pretty excited about our next 2 shows – we’re supporting SUPERGRASS who is the nicest bunch in the world of rock. We’ll be playing Philly next Tuesday, September 28th and then our hometown, NYC, on October 2nd at WEBSTER HALL! YEAH!

7/15/04
We’re taping a new session for Fearless Music TV this Saturday – we’ll keep you posted as to when it will be aired.

We just started our basic tracking for our first album - two words, Bryce Goggin - he's the man. We love him, his studio, the interns and Zelda the dog!

WE’RE BACK HOME IN NYC!!!

This is going to be brief for the time being since the jet lag has taken its toll… we just got back from our tour in England with Stellastarr*. Plenty of stories to share with you…overall it was a blast. England rocks!

We’d like to thank Stellastarr* for inviting us out on the tour and going out of their way to ensure us great shows and a good time. Ozzy and Jez you both were such a help on the tour. Ozzy you’re the best road manager ever and we’re forever grateful! Thank you to all of Jonny’s family for coming out to our Sheffield show. And to all the wonderful people we met along the way, some of you who put us up for the night when we couldn’t afford fancy hotel rooms, THANK YOU. To all our new fans over in England it was such a pleasure playing for you. We hope to get back to you SOON and hopefully put out an EP in the next coming months.

Hope to see all of you tonight at Piano’s – this is our first show with our friends, MORNINGWOOD. We go on at 11pm.

Big news… we just confirmed 4 dates with Stellastarr* in the UK!!! Very excited to be going over to Europe for the first time! We leave next Wednesday, Nov. 19th and will be getting back right before Thanksgiving. Be sure to tell all your UK friends… go to the SHOWS page for the details….

Hello everyone. Well, unfortunately Supergrass had to cancel the remaining dates of their US tour, which meant that we didn’t get to open for them in Washington DC or Brooklyn. We’re just honored enough that they had asked us to open for them again and we send them our love and well wishes.

We still made in down to Washington DC on Tuesday and had a fantastic day at the XM Satellite Radio studios. Thanks to Billy Zero, Grant Danhausen, and the rest of the boys at XM. We recorded our entire set live that followed with an interview soon to hit the XM Unsigned Bands Satellite station soon.

8/21/03
There’s a great photo of Miss Jenny Christmas in today’s New York Daily News on page 48 in the Style section… an article about NY Clubs (Plaid, Piano’s, etc.) Grab a copy!

8/4/03
Playing Irving Plaza last Wednesday night with Supergrass was the most rockin’ moment we’ve had as a band so far. It was so much fun we didn’t want to stop, they had to kick us off the stage! Couldn’t of asked for a more perfect venue (the crew was amazing), awesome receptive crowd, and can we just say that it was an honor to play with Supergrass.

6/23/03
The band had their first road trip over the weekend! The Grape Street Pub in Philly was a fun host and the band got to play a show with their friends The Red King! Thanks to the entourage from New York, who came with the band and helped with all the equipment and getting drunk with us!

5/27/03
Hello all…. We’ve just been informed by Billy Zero at XM Satellite Radio that our song, “Make Fun” from our demo is being played this week on their “Radar Report” radio show! Hope you had as much fun as we did at the Piano’s show. It was a hot and sweaty night and we thank you for all coming out and bearing with the long line and crowd. Jasper Coolidge took some awesome pics of us and Stellastarr* and wrote a little review on the show… be sure to check them out at http://www.jenyk.com Thank you Jasper!
